It’s all based on various public but scattered sources of information, consolidated into one accessible platform.

We’re proud to announce that ChatGPT CBia is one of the pioneering AI assistants not just in my country Catalonia but also in Spain. While we may be among the first, we have no doubt that other clubs will soon follow in our footsteps, embracing the incredible potential of AI technology in the sports world.

Behind the Scenes: The Technical Journey
Creating ChatGPT CBia was no small feat, and I want to shed some light on the technical aspects that made it all possible:
- Creating a ChatGPT – Not All Easy: While creating a basic ChatGPT might be straightforward, crafting one as specialized as ChatGPT CBia required a substantial effort.
- Data Scraping: I scoured various websites to collect the dispersed data needed to power ChatGPT CBia, ensuring it had the most up-to-date information.
- Integrating Unstructured and structured SQL Data in a RAG framework is hard: Making ChatGPT-4 work seamlessly with both unstructured and SQL data was a challenge, but I finally cracked the way.
- Catalan Language: Working with a minority language like Catalan posed its own set of difficulties, but I was determined to overcome them, it is my mother tongue and I want it to survive the AI era.
- Infrastructure constant updates: Keeping up with OpenAI’s evolving infrastructure was no walk in the park, as several updates occasionally broke the custom GPT, and I spent multiples hours wondering why.
- Langchain Framework: my discovery of the Langchain framework proved to be a game-changer, providing the right guidance for working with a SQL database. The work that Harrisson and Francisco and the whole team is amazing not only for building apps but also to provide ideas were shadows appear.

Creating ChatGPT CBia was a labor of love, often burning the midnight oil as a night owl. The excitement and satisfaction that came from building this remarkable tool for our club were beyond words.
